She’s a proud graduate of Fayette County Public Schools and Eastern Kentucky University. In addition to being a successful small business owner, Raquel is a respected leader in the community, and a dedicated public servant - formerly serving as Chair of the Lexington Board of Adjustment and currently serving as a member of the Kentucky Real Estate Commission, having been appointed to that position by Governor Andy Beshear.&nbsp;She lives in Lexington with her husband, a fellow entrepreneur and local business leader, where they are the very proud parents of two children.

Lexingtonians deserve homes they can afford.&nbsp; As a real estate professional, I saw first hand the dream of home ownership become out of reach for many first time home buyers because of the lack of starter homes and skyrocketing home prices.&nbsp; As a business owner, I understand the challenge of hiring and the reduced quality of life when employees are forced to move outside of Lexington just to find a safe, affordable place to call home.&nbsp; As an active community member, I see the daily impact of lack of affordable housing has on our community with the increasing number of families and children experiencing homelessness.
