Working Families Continue to Rally Behind Raquel Carter for Mayor of Lexington

The Bluegrass Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, has endorsed Raquel Carter for Mayor of Lexington. The Bluegrass Central Labor Council is among a growing list of labor organizations and industry groups backing Carter’s campaign.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Bluegrass Central Labor Council and the working people they represent across our community,” Carter said. “Lexington’s future depends on the people who keep this city moving every day. As mayor, I will ensure working families have a voice in our city’s future. I will fight to attract good-paying jobs and solve the problems that make it harder for people to live, work, raise a family, and succeed here. I’m grateful for their trust and ready to get to work.”

The Bluegrass Central Labor Council is part of the AFL-CIO labor movement. The organization advocates for fair wages, safe workplaces, strong benefits, retirement security, and policies that strengthen the voice of working people.

Carter is gaining support among working people across Lexington. This momentum reflects a shared belief that the city needs accountable, results-driven leadership that is prepared to solve today’s problems and build a stronger future.

The Bluegrass Central Labor Council joins the Central Kentucky Building & Construction Trades Council, LiUNA Laborers Local 189, Local 452 Plumbers & Pipefitters Union, the United Association of Journeymen, and SMART Local 110 in endorsing Carter. Carter has also received support from HomePAC and the Kentucky REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC).
